It's good to hear from y'all :) This week was a good one- minus the fact that my companion and I caught a bug and were sick throughout the week! We shake so many hands! Germs are a' spreadin'!
It rained a bit this week- we walked to the temple grounds ( I love living so close to the temple!!) and walked down the alley. We heard that when it rains, you can find some broken temple granite in the alley by the dumpsters! True story!! Apparently when they were building the temple (in 2004/2005ish) a shipment of granite came in that was cracked, so they had to throw it out. So... I got my own piece of the Lubbock Texas Temple! #pumped!
I got a fall package from Kenzie this week- Thanks!! So fun!
I went to the ChiroCracker this week too... Mom and Dad- they figured out what is wrong with my hips! yay! I will send you another message and tell you what they said... basically... it's just dancer probs! Anywho- We got to help a sweet less active family of ours this week- they are so giving and decided to give up the "luxury" things they own (like a bed, TV, extra microwave, ect.) to another family in need that the Spanish Elders are teaching. It was a good time getting to help them serve another family!
I LOVED the General Women's Broadcast, didn't you?! It was so powerful! Something that really stood out to me was the topic of purity and virtue. Satan is working so hard today to bring us down to his level of misery and to destroy us. I know that we are all precious souls to our Father in Heaven and he wants us to return back home to him more than anything else in the world! ...And we can! The Savior has prepared the way! I am grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. My testimony has really been strengthened this week and I have a greater appreciation for the knowledge which we have been blessed with.
I am stoked for General Conference this weekend!! Time for the "SUPERBOWL!" Oh! This week we had dinner with our Stake President, President Kimball and his family! They are such a powerhouse family when it comes to sharing the gospel! They had 3 friends, not of our faith, who joined us! It was great! Thanks for all of your love and support! Keep sharing the good news with our dear friends! I love y'all! Have a blessed week!
Love,
Sister Evans
